You might not believe that lifelike sex robots have been built. It is so lifelike that one in two people will mistake it for a real person. What’s more, this vivid sex robot is not only mistaken for a real person, but people who have seen her consider her “sexy”.

This lifelike and lifelike sex robot is called Geminoid F, which is about 1.68 meters tall and looks like a human. It blinks, responds to eye contact, and can recognize body language.

Now that robots are becoming more and more illegible, Mexican-born roboticist Dr. David Silvera-Tavel wanted to find out if Gemini F could be distinguished from a real person.

Videos of the special sex robot were first posted on the internet in 2010, but more recently viewers have expressed their views on the lifelike sex robot on YouTube, with many saying they thought the love doll was “sexy”.

“I wish they had this before I married my ex,” wrote one viewer. Another added: “Would it be weird if I thought she was cute?”

While some found the lifelike sex robot attractive, others were frightened and uncomfortable after not being able to tell the difference between the real and the fake.

It turns out that imagining yourself facing a robot and a human without knowing who is real and who is real is a scary idea—one that Hollywood has used to captivate audiences for decades.

The 1973 film Westworld follows a fictional robot tourist destination where robots go on a killing spree due to a safety glitch. From “Terminator” and “Blade Runner” to “Transformers” and “Star Trek,” fictional robot worlds that excite and frighten moviegoers are now becoming a reality.

The lifelike sex robot, called Gemini F, was developed by Professor Ryoo Matsumoto, a renowned robot designer at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Technology in Tokyo. It’s called Gemini F because it’s like a person being copied. And can be operated remotely.

Dr David said he also wondered whether, as scary as it was, fast-growing industries would benefit from making sex robots, such as the adult industry, the escort industry, or whether it would be better to keep using less realistic machines.

He said people’s current responses and responses to post-experiment questionnaires suggest they feel anxious, nervous, and even frightened when exposed to Gemini F.

In the first experiment, Gemini F sat side by side with a person, both wearing the same clothes. A participant has 5 seconds to determine who is real. About half of the participants said they were not sure who the robot was. . Dr. David’s investigation is not over. The next step is to study whether humans can reduce the fear and anxiety generated by robots and get used to interacting with them for extended periods of time.

Coincidentally, some commentators believe that this female robot looks a lot like the role played by Chen Jiama in the BBC science fiction drama “Real People”.
